CEPHEUS PORTUS

Stop exporting.
Start governing.

Cepheus Portus lets regulated companies use their real source data in Power BI, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric and other cloud warehouses directly read-only, byte-exact, and with signed evidence their Quality team can verify without the manual export that breaks their audit trail.

Cepheus Portus Dashboard

WHY IT MATTERS

An uncontrolled copy is three problems at once.

01

Broken lineage

You can't prove the dashboard figure matches the source of record. The chain of custody an auditor asks for simply isn't there.

02

Re-validation burden

Every new export is a new artifact to control, document, and defend — repeated effort your Quality team can never fully retire.

03

Compliance exposure

Uncontrolled copies of GxP data are exactly what 21 CFR Part 11 and Annex 11 exist to prevent. Findings, not just friction.

ONE CONNECTOR, FIVE SOURCES

Not just SAS.

If your validated data lives in any of these, Cepheus Portus reads it into Power BI the same governed way — no source system required.

SAS

SAS datasets

.sas7bdat and .xpt transport (V5/6, V8/9)

DB2

DB2 exports

PC/IXF, the machine-independent export format

EBCDIC

Mainframe

EBCDIC data described by a COBOL copybook

TD

Teradata

FastExport / TDCH binary extracts

Same reader core. Every format lands in one exact model, so Power BI, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric and your warehouse all get each source with the identical fidelity guarantee and the same validation evidence.

FIDELITY YOU CAN PROVE

Every load is signed.
Anyone can verify it — without us.

Exact by construction

DECIMAL stays exact decimal, integers keep their true width, timestamps to the microsecond, binary stays binary. Nothing is silently widened to a float.

Cryptographically sealed

Each conversion emits a signed manifest: the source hash, the row-equivalence digest, and the output hash — signed with a key that chains to the Cepheus Root CA.

Independently verifiable

A dependency-free reference verifier and its published specification ship alongside — your auditor confirms the seal with openssl, not our word.

HOW IT FITS

One governed reader. Five ways to consume it.

Architecture Diagram
Single Governed Foundation

Cepheus Reader Core

SAS • DB2 • Mainframe • Teradata  →  One Exact Model

Governed Dispatch • Zero Export
Live ODBC
Power BI

Signed ODBC connector — analysts read source files live in Desktop and scheduled refresh.

In-Lakehouse
Databricks

A Spark data source that reads in-lakehouse and lands a Delta table — no copy-out.

Direct Cloud
Snowflake

Cloud data platform storing and managing data with high performance, scalability, and secure sharing.

Unified Platform
Microsoft Fabric

All-in-one platform bringing together data integration, engineering, and Power BI in a unified experience.

Parquet Stream
Other Cloud Warehouses

A container that converts to Parquet for BigQuery and Redshift, with a signed manifest.

THE PILOT

Prove it on your own files.

1

You choose the files

Three to five of your own representative source files — SAS, DB2, mainframe or Teradata, whatever you actually use. They stay in your environment.

2

Analysts see them live

Install the signed connector, open Power BI, and read them directly — connecting takes minutes, not a project.

3

Quality reviews evidence

The complete validation dossier and the signed IQ record are already in the box, ready for CSV review at their own pace.

Success is simple: your data reads correctly, and Quality is satisfied. Then we scope the rollout.
